YES! The Linz Academy is especially designed for people who don't feel ready to join open heels classes and who want to work on their technique in a small and private group. While keeping groups small we ensure a safe feeling as well as great opportunities go give you direct feedback and to answer all of your questions.

You'll learn everything necessary to be able to attend an open heels class and to be prepared with essential knowledge of the right heels technique. Walks, lines, Jazz technique, balance training, musicality and freestyle as well as performance exercises are practiced during the Linz Academy.

You may have heard that it not only can cause painful problems in your feet and ankles, but it can harm your knees, hips and spine, as well. We agree, if you don't have any technique, any muscles and any knowledge about standing, posing, walking and especially dancing in heels, it will be anything but healthy.

BUT for us, the most important thing is to

1) prevent injuries by helping you build muscles and strength in your back, core, legs and fett

2) prevent risks of pain by giving you the right technique on how to use high heels properly

3) prevent any future problems by building your knowledge on how to take care of your body inside and outside of the dance studio

Dancing in general (and in high heels) will definitely bring you a lot of benefits:

Absolutely! As a professional dancer you already bring a lot of knowledge to the table - learning the right technique supported by useful exercises and direct feedback will help you to improve your technique in a really fast pace.

Most importantly: your heels (if you are not sure which are best suited simply read our Vienna Heels Guide to get some guidance). Also bring tight clothes (like leggings, a crop top, shorts, etc.) so you can see your lines and body shape. Other essential things to bring would be: socks, a water bottle, a towel, a hair tie, knee pads, a fully charged phone, a note pad and a pen.

Yes, of course! We aim to unite all dancers and people who are interested into dance regardless of their origin, gender, appearance, sexual orientation or dance experience. The only requirement to participate in the class is to wear high heels.

We recommend heels classes starting from the age 16.

We usually use German, but if there is anyone in the room not being able to understand German, the class will be hold in both – German and English. It's best to let us know before class. Thank you!

Don’t worry — if you miss a session, you’ll be absolutely fine! Just let us or your instructor know in advance if possible. Your instructor will make sure you can catch up easily and feel comfortable joining the next class. Plus, you’ll receive videos of the session so you can practice and stay on track at your own pace. Please note that missed sessions cannot get reimbursed.
